NIR-detectable Silver-Masterbatches
As with black polymer products and packaging, problems can also arise in the recycling process with silver-coloured products and packaging. Due to their composition, certain silver colours cannot be detected via near-infrared (NIR) and correctly sorted which make them difficult to recycle. Lifocolor has developed new solutions in collaboration with Eckart, a leading manufacturer of metallic effect and pearlescent pigments. Granite Looks for Premium Product Design of Ageless Beauty
Granite, a symbol of strength and stability, offers a wide range of colours and textures. Lifocolor's masterbatches provide authentic granite looks for polyolefins (PE, PP) and technical polymers (ABS, PMMA, TPE), meeting approvals according to 10/2011 EU and FDA for food contact. Available in four shades, they give products a classy and timeless design, from household products to packaging materials.The masterbatches can be used for injection moulding and extrusion processes up to 280 degrees Celcius.
