30 years of Lifocolor, s.r.o.

Lifocolor, s.r.o., based in the Czech Republic, is celebrating its company anniversary this year. For 30 years now, our plant in Brno has been our direct link to South-Eastern Europe - time for a short location portrait.

Lifocolor, s.r.o. started its business activities only a few years after the foundation of the German parent company. After the fall of the Iron Curtain in 1990, Lifocolor began to open up markets in Eastern Europe at an early stage. The first trade contacts were established in the Czech Republic and Poland. Finally, on 1 May 1993, Lifocolor s.r.o. was founded. The close relationship with Brno has existed since the very first hour: After the beginnings in the premises of the local polymer institute, work on the company's own plant started four years after the foundation in 1997. After almost 20 years, the old plant reached its capacity limits, whereupon the new plant finally came on stream in 2015: another milestone in Lifocolor's history. Like each of our five production sites, the Czech plant has its own technical centre, sales department and production facility with six production lines and an annual capacity of 1,500 tonnes. Therefore, more space for storage and production was created on a total area of about 2,000 m² and the colour laboratory and technical centre were also further expanded. Today, the branch has around 35 employees.
